Hello Jacques! Athens is eternal; Athens always amazes; Athens never disappoints, and Athens remians in your mind forever. Starting from 1960, I have been to Athens many times. Every time I am surrounded by the wonder that you have so aptly brought out in your pictures. Your album is a very erudite exposition of both the old monuments and the Greek orthodox heritage of the city. Every stone, every old building tells a story, every church, and every shrine has significance. You have shown the pictures in different perspectives which one does not normally see. I thank you for all the efforts you have taken not only to present the excellent pictures but also the usual wonderful captions. It is always such a pleasure and education to vist your albums. Dear Jacques, I have already seen the album several times, on the big screen and one by one! I love the icons and the architecture of the orthodox churches, one reason being that I can relate to them!I also enjoyed the way you put together the antique past, the religion and the views of the city. Somehow...they seem connected over the centuries - it is the Greek way to have history, past and present, displayed at almost every corner. I really enjoyed your work here!Friendly hugs, Gabriela
