    • Thank you, Ding, for your insightful comments. Indeed I find these homes almost like national treasures for they depict (hence, are like architectural documents) our Spanish colonial past. I strongly believe that in the event current owners are unable to sustain the upkeep of these homes, private and government entities must jointly help to preserve and keep these treasured pieces of our past from crumbling and fading away. Afterall, this will be our legacy to generations after us. Something for them to be proud of.

    • This album deserved a closer second look as I examined the unique and different structures that each legacy home offers. The corner flowers is a nice touch for these homes. My guess is that the first home is the most modern, the second home is the most elegant and the third home, with its wide windows next to the street may be the oldest. It makes you imagine the owner opening that big window and throwing neclace beads during Mardi Gras. Very nice capture of this Sariaya homes, Mary Ann. I'm glad you took the effort and share this album for the world to see.

    • Wow! These are elegant homes. They may need a little elbow grease and a few gallons of paint, however, the structures are surely attractive and the intricate details and workmanship certainly show. Thanks for sharing.
