  • This old lady has always amazed me. As you have said this ia a shame to the City of Gold Beach. Thank you for updating her status Randy, in fact I was just thinking about her a couple of days ago.

  • I used to drive by this old lady many times and used to think what a shame that the historical society would just let her sit there and rot, but that is Oregon for you. We are losing to many historical places and that is a shame, because they could have made alot of money on tours. I know for myself I would have paid money to just be able to walk in the steps of others that worked on her. The history that lays in the wood that is rotting, if they could only talk, just think of what we would have learned from her. So so sad. I am so glad that you have taken the time to do a story on her and sharing it with the rest of the world Randy, A BIG THANK YOU from your friend in Medford, Kathy

  • Looks like it'd take quite a bit to restore her at this point. She's very old! Great shots today with the heron!

  • What a shame! After such a rich history, to be left to rot like that is really sad. Vicky

  • I do think that boats and ships have souls, Randy, and there are those who would laugh. I cannot help but think that the mariners who have gone on before us would expect less than to see THEIR ship - or boat - sailing the Golden Seas of Heaven. Would a mariner be content without a vessel??? I think not... God bless and thanks for bringing this beautiful but sad album... Betty
