I have not been there since 2002 a year after 9/11 and got to visit the site also. I live in Massachusetts and the distance from where I am to New York City is approximately 4 hours give or take. Hi Tjebbe. Your captures of New York are superb!! I first visited New York in the late 70's. I was working as a nanny to an American family who were living in Rome, Italy. The father was a journalist, a foreign correspondence, and he was given home leave. We were there for 6 weeks!! I fell in love with the city. 3 years later we made another trip to the big apple for 4 weeks!! I have only visited there once since and only for a stop over en route for Las Vegas. How I would love to return with a digital camera and capture shots like yours. I remember seeing Brooklyn Bridge for the first time and being so enamoured by it. Hi Tjebbe, Thank you very much for inviting me to view this excellent album. It is informative and very enjoyable. I think you made the right decision to divide your photos up into three albums. When albums are too big, people have to rush through them and don't enjoy them so much, or they have to stop after a few pages, but often get sidetracked and never view the rest. Tjebbe! Zeer accuraat gefotografeerd, je krijgt in Manhattan altijd een stijve nek van het foto's maken, vind ik. Je had inderdaad schitterend weer. Het is alweer tien jaar geleden dat ik er voor het laatst was, na ongeveer tien bezoeken daarvoor, en het grappige is: alleen al in dit album heb je voornbamelijk foto's van plaatsen waar ik nog nooit ben geweest, al weet ik wel dat in het Ellis Island Museum de papieren te vinden zijn van verscheidene familieleden van mij (enkele met mijn voor- en achternaam) die rond 1900 naar de VS emigreerden. Je mist die oerlelijke torens van het WTC trouwens nauwelijks, ze domineerden veel te veel de skyline. Persoonlijke mening, natuurlijk. Ik wacht in spanning op de volgende albums!
