Hi Jill. thanks for taking us on this charming journey. I think I saaw John Craven do a report on this little railway a few months ago on Landward. Thanks for sharing your experience. The cover shot is without a doubt my fave. For some reason no matter how many times I tried I couldn't view page 4 of your album. Best wishes, Craig

This is like a step back in time! I enjoy riding on the old trains we only have a few still running here thanks to a dedicated team of volunteers. The valley is really beautiful. Great to see so much green when we are.. yes.. still in a severe drought with restrictions and now summer is on the way. hugs Susan

Hi Jill, Super album & I love those little engines, they do not make them like that anymore. Seems you had another good day weatherwise amid fantastic scenery. Have been meaning to get back to you for 10 days to thank you for the many kind comments on the Snettisham spectacular album. The birds are a wonderfull sight & I will be there again at the months end, never get tired of it as it is always different. Last week it was only a medium tide but still people had come from as far away as Devon after seeing it on that Chris Packham BBC show. Weather is good here at moment so that is why I am so busy out & about with the camera + 3 days in Sheffield every 2 weeks. If you do come after DF's anytime let me know, yesterday we still had lots of common darters & migrant hawkers flying about here. Eric

Hi Jill, a lovely album and weren't you lucky with the weather. We always try and have a trip on the train when in the area, it's different every time. Best wishes, Dave.

Hi Jill, I have also just watched this whole album as a slideshow, and it really is a fantastic journey. You've captured some of the wonderful magic of the Lakes and the excitement of trains. Don UK.

To be honest, while I was there I wasn't that impressed :o) That's why the pics took so long... every shooting took precedence ;o) When I finally came around to do them, I was (pleasantly) surprised :o) Ciao! Roberto

Hello Jill! What fun! It reminds me of the little rhyme, which I think went something like this: Early in the morning, in the railway station, see the little daffodils, all in a row...etc, etc. I don't think even grown up men ever forget the fantasy of childhood dreams of becoming an engine driver!! The train ride you have captured is absolutely fabulous, so is the country side, pristine and so enchantingly pastoral. A very fine album, Jill. Thank you very much for sharing. Best wishes, Suresh

Jill, it was a pleasure to ride on that train. Are these little trains common in UK? I enjoyed very much the scenery pictures, you already showed me that those are very common in UK... I really should visit and take my camera with me! Take care, Yair.

Hi Jill, I love La'll Ratty, it's a great little train ride. If you haven't explored Ravenglass, you should. It's only small but a charming place. You chose a perfect day to visit Wasdale. Every photo is lovely and clear. I really enjoyed this album. Pam x

Hello Jill, Great set of photos in some lovely weather. We've done the Ratty a few times over the years. As a point of interest my nickname at school was "Ratty" and my old schoolpals sometimes still use it. They sometimes call me other things aswell.

Hi Jill! I'm sorry it took mea while to get here. I looked at this album on full size slide show and it's terrific. Are the little trains great. There's been a lot of work gone into them. I love the green grass and great scenery. Thanks for sharing mate. Hugs Al. PS. You didn't make me puff this time. LOL.
