  • Hi Jill. Enjoyed taking the tour of Hever Castle with you. What an beautifully preserved building and the topiary are so impressive. Wonderful grounds too. You took some wonderful shots. Haven't a clue what 'Raw' mode means or processed using Lightroom. Sounds very technical... Have a trip booked to Italy for next Easter. Venice, Florence and Rome. It's been so long since I was in Venice or Florence and never with a digital, so I am quite excited at the thought. Already counting down the weeks. Easter can't come quick enough, lol!! Take care. Hugs, Jayne xx

  • Jill, thanks for taking us with you to visit this castle. the gardens are very beautiful and I had a wonderful time visiting there, I'm sure you enjoyed it as well. Thanks for your visit to my new album of Waterfalls! Best wishes, Yair.

  • Hello Jill,a beautiful album from Hever Castle, yet another place I've never been to but it looks more than worth a visit. Looking at some of the photos with the reflections in the moat I got to thinking there must be wonderful reflective opportunities all round the castle, especially in Summer with a blue sky as well. Sa always,a pleasure to view your work Jill, thanks for sharing,Regards,Rod.

  • Another great day out and about, all the more so if you can enjoy it with the family. I enjoyed this too, the gardens are so well looked after and something interesting around every corner. You have done well to process with Lightroom.. not a program I have tried and the light is tricky when you have white skies. That is all we have had for ages here and only the odd patter of raindrops enough to just settle the dust and feed the weeds, not deep enough for the trees. Very belated thanks for your congrat. messages on recent feature album and challenge 3rd place but I have just not got enough hours in the day or weeks. Brian is still not very well at all and we have at least another year of this to see if his pain will ease. I am a full time Jill of all trades (no pun intented) as he can not do much at all and I still have to work with 4 teenagers in the house.. must go cook yet another meal they are saying 'what's to eat' yet again.. hugs Susan.

  • BTW how are you getting along with lightroom? I use the Nikon CaptureNX to process mine, it's fantastic and so easy to use. It's also fast. I do find Photoshop Elements very slow, but it may just be my computer.

  • This is a wonderful album Jill, I've been to lots of castles in the UK, but unfortunately I didn't get many pictures. So after looking at yours I feel inspired to re-visit them. Especially my favourite Edinburgh Castle. Wonderful!

  • Looks like another delightfull day out Jill. I have heard of it, but so many places I can say that about but never got there yet! Your autumn col on 7th looks better than we have even now. Eric
