Hi Maxine, I really like your photos in this album. I especially like the crashing waves against the lighthouse. Shows the mighty power of the lakes and the real reason for lighthouses. They are not just there for astetic beauty. My husband and I love visiting lighthouses and watching the lake boats go by. We also read a lot of books on lighthouses, ships, and shipwrecks. We really do have a lot in common (ie: lighthouses, travel and Michigan). Thank you for your recent comments on my albums. Greetings from the middle of the Mitten. We travel through Westbranch on our way up to my husband's folk's cabin, when we go. They have a cabin on Hubbard Lake.

Nice pix! We LOVE lighthouses and have visited more than 250 US lighthouses. This summer we visited your Michigan. We did the "thumb" and went across the Mackinac Bridge to the UP.
