  • Hi Haig! It was great to hear from you and always great to view your work. This album is suberb - your macros are stunning and the bird shots (and bees too) delightful. I hope you got your chance to dive the Great Barrier Reef while you were Down Under. Will there be underwater shots forthcoming? That is also a dream of mine to do some day. In the meantime I will make do with my upcoming trip to the Caribbean. I am eager to try my new underwater housing for my Nikon. Wish me luck! All the best, Beth

  • Hi Haig! Certainly this is a very beautiful album for our Aussie friend Keith. I'm sure that you really had a wonderful visit to this beautiufl garden. I visited this garden in a cloudy day 2 years ago, but still it was an enjoyable visit. Thank you so much for your nice visit to my album and all your nice comments. Take care, my friend. CS :)

  • Hi Haig! Wildflowers are always favourites with me and I love this colourful display. Those Paper Daisies make wonderful subjects and you have brought out all their beauty and detail in these lovely photos. The attack by the Spur-winged Plover was certainly something unexpected and you did an amazing job of capturing that in wonderful detail. The poor bird made a bad choice of nesting spot and I fear she won't have much peace in a car park to hatch her eggs. Thankyou for sharing these wonderful images from Mt Annan.. Best wishes.. Gladys, Western Australia.

  • The Paper daisies were at their peak, I now regret not stopping to take more photos of them. After a quick stop for lunch at the cafe, and a few photos, we went back to get the car to drive around. Apparently a Spur-winged plover had decided to start nesting on the sidewalk right by Keith's car in the interim. I only wish I had more experience taking action shots as both the male and the female took turns dive-bombing Keith as he went to get in the car. They were harmless to us.. but certainly made us duck a few times! They were much more restrained once we got in the car and started to drive away. We then went on to look at the Grevilleas, and sadly the sun was totally uncooperative at that point, and started to set. The gardens are a definite must for nature lovers who visit Sydney!
