Album Description:

Did you know that high winds are a factor when you visit a lighthouse? On this day we were only allowed to step out on the top platform a few at a time. We were NOT allowed to circle the top due to 55 mph winds. This doesn't sound like too much, but it is

    • Lovely album, Jade, you always mix the pics up well and maintain the interest! Thank you honey, for your recent visit, and your kind words on my flowers and quilts albums. Now let me answer your questions! Yes, sorry, I did not make it very clear, but "Gertie's baby basket" is definately for a dolly. That WAS a Peter Rabbit "panel" (excellent for quick and easy quilts!), and finally, some people send their quilts (after sandwiching with the wadding and basting roughly) to be professionally quilted, but it is quite expensive to do this. I've never done it, I hand quilt all mine (but mine are pretty simple, believe me!). I'd love to get mine professionally quilted - especially the big ones, they are a beast to hand sew... Mostly we do them ourselves though. Personally, I hate the quilting bit!!! I love putting the tops together and then I lose interest! I am forcing myself to finish 2 this weekend. I keep finding "other things" to do...Naughty! Bye for now Jade, warmest wishes, Jane.

    • Thank you for visiting my St. Augustine album and inviting me to yours. Yes, we definitely had two different perspectives, particularly since I did not climb the lighthouse. I loved your album. Next time you come to Florida, let me know and maybe we can meet up and go on a photo safari. Best wishes, Carol

    • This is a beautiful album - the lighthouse is gorgeous and viewing some shots from up high is certainly a bonus. Congratulations on a fascinating album. - DeeAnne
