Your trip wasn't wasted Mike even though it wasn't what you came to photograph. You have made a lovely album of the bridges. I am at a loss as to why they are covered in the first place and they are all painted red? They are very attractive but is there a reason for covering the bridge? We don't have any covered bridges as far as I know in Australia....Hugs, Shirley

Hey Mike! Sorry I am such a slow poke (worse than snail mail, lol). Thanks so much for stopping to view my Smith Rock State Park album, yes, fortunately many people miss this awesome park, which is just a few miles off the road close to the Eastern Oregon town of Bend. You must have loved living in the Pacific Northwest, I know we did, we lived in Oregon (where my hubby's from) for 5 lucky years and would really like to move back eventually! Now to your awesome album of covered bridges here, I do flips whenever I actually get to see one (a few of them in Oregon). What a beautiful album filled with these old treasures! have a beautiful weekend. Marita

Mike what a wonderful album full of great shots of several beautiful covered bridges. I think it's great how you turned a let down (park closed) into a wonderful day capturing some terrific shots. Thanks for sharing.
