Nazareth is described in the New Testament as the childhood home of Jesus, and as such is a center of Christian pilgrimage, with many shrines commemorating biblical associations. This album is dedicated to Mabel (WS member mabelscritterart).

    • Dear Yair, this album is amazing. I can't believe you have showen to us a town, where Jesus Christ was living at one period of his life, where he walked, talked & teached people to Christianity. You were there by yourself. I probably will never go there, but I watched a few times on a TV about this town. But I need to confess, that your photos are better & more realistic. Thank you Yair for sharing it with all of us. I haven't been on webshot for so long time, more than a year and a half, but now I got back, & we'll see each other more often. Many greetings & hugs from Ana Marija!!!

    • Nice photo-story, Yair. It's so hard to belive after your album that Nazareth was a very small town with population about 500 in Jesus' time. Flavious telling us: Nazareth built on a gentle rise with view of Mount Tabor five miles to the east, lay on the road between Jerusalem and the port of Acco in the Promised Land of the people of Yahweh. And I'm glad to see your stories about your land. They're beautiful both. Keep going same way because this is a right one. Sergio

    • My dear friend, I consider this album one of your best ever! I had already seen, at least, most of these shots in Fotki, but I didn't resist making a lot of comments again! Just to give some work, LOL! Thank you so much for your kind votes in my flamingos album. I agree with you that a zoom of 18x is already very good, and I wasn't complaining:))) But it's not enough yet for the kind of shot I wish to do! Small birds! Besides, I must buy a tripod because, when I use the zoom at its full power, shots come out blurry! Maybe I should buy a remote shooter cable too... One of these days I'll become a real Pro, LOL. Right now, I still have so much to learn about photos:)))) This time I'm reading the instructions manual! But my Fuji is a very nice camera and it's nice sometimes to carry a lighter camera! Of course, the image quality with the Olympus is superior, but it costed the double! Have a great weekend, my friend! Here is raining a lot!!! Take care, Rosa

    • Hello Yair,another beautiful album with more of your great shots! I enjoyed my trip with you and will come back for another visit! Thank you for your visit & comments on "winter"album! I did get a new camera but I still have the other! This one is smaller to put in my purse. The foxes have gone to the woods although a couple of weeks ago,there was one crossing the road near my house. This winter,there is more snow than we have had in 20 to thirty years and it makes it harder for them to find food. The birds here get lots from people as most homes put out feeders for them all winter with lots of seeds in them. Have a wonderful week,my friend!..........Diane

    • Yair, this is a beautiful album. The church scenes are gorgeous and very moving. I like all the scenery and the market and the views of the city. The stain glass windows are awesome as are all the church scenes. This album should definitely be featured. Have a good 2008. hugs, Barbara

It was a pleasure to view and read your captions, a wonderful journey that touched my senses, from tears, to smiles, from prayers to the mouthwatering deserts.     • As for the amazing title that this album has, I can only say that, to me, it seems more of a symbolic flower; for what it represents, and not how it looks like, just like the beauty of a person, that is coming from inside, and not the physical appearance. I LOVE the title of this album!

    • Yair, this is a beautiful album and will be treasured by all Christians. It is very nice that you dedicated it to Mabel for her birthday on Christmas Eve. As for Nazareth being called the Flower of Galilee (which seems to upset my friend Ran), research shows that this term goes back to at least the 5th century - not what it is today. No matter what it looks like today, it is still the home of our beloved savior, Jesus Christ, and a very beautiful place to all Christians, worthy of the pretty name.     • Dear Yair. It is over expression to call the city of Nazareth the flower of the Galilee. Florence in Italy is called the town of flowers, and here main church is called Santa Maria del Flora . ( Santa Maria of the flowers.)The most beautiful Florence got here good name in right. Nazaret is in my point of view,is in a big balagan dirtied and very ugly town. Yes, some churches at Nazaret are very nice and importent to the christianity but there is no one monoment in Nazaret worth for a big wowowowowow. Your album is a great and most beautiful one from the small nice side of this birth place of Jesus. RAN
