Wow, you're quite a traveller yourself. And you've inked your way into my Grecian history by being the first to comment in my Greece album. Good on you! Thanks for this armchair trip round the world. Saves me quite a bundle :) My wife and I enjoyed Santorini very much, which in our opinion is the epitome of Greece. But the inclement weather put a little damp on our enthusiasm. As for the rest, we got a little relics fatigue after a while cause they all look similar after sometime. But the beautiful mountainous terrain we saw en route to our destinations offered quite a visual treat.

Hi again Marita, to answer your question about travel to Germany -- yes, I have been there quite often, to many different places from Bremen and the Mecklenburg Seenplatte in the north to the Black Forest and Munich in the south and many others in between, and I have many hardcopy photo albums of pics from Germany and all the other places I have visited as well, all taken without a digital camera. Just got a digital camera a few months ago, so I am looking forward to taking it along on any future travels, so that I can share some of those adventures online. Your albums are certainly inspiring! Hi again, Marita. I am guessing that is your name, since that is how a number of folks have addressed you in some of the preceding comments. Just wanted to thank you for stopping by and checking out some of my pics. You had a question, and I was going to answer it by leaving you a generic message at the official place for messages, only to discover that your message board was shut down, and I found out the reason why this is so. So, no worries, I totally understand your rationale, and I will just respond here. This works just as well. Now, to answer your question about 'christianchen': your initial assumption on my name is the correct one. When I initially signed up for webshots a few years ago, it was merely for the pro-shots. Loved those images, not realizing the wealth of photos that were awaiting discovery which were being shared by other webshots members globally. My favorite aunt from Germany was visiting at the time and it is the name she calls me by. So as I signed up for webshots, and I was suddenly confronted with the big decision of what to use as my id name, I picked one of the first things that came to mind. Not realizing that this would be the label that would forever appear on any pictures I would ever happen to upload in the future, nor that it would accompany all my comments from hereon in, I just keyed in 'christianchen', because it was one I was sure to remember. So that's the story, and now you know. Mystery solved :-) . Thanks again for stopping by, and enjoy the rest of your weekend.

Hi Marita, thanks for trying to help but I tried everything including purging my WS photo managers cache, nothing worked. I have gotten emails from the support department keeping me posted on their progress. They are aware of it and are trying to track down the little gremlins as I type!! LOL!! I am still having the problem though and it is frustrating to try to view someones album & comment when you can't see anything. It is time consuming too. I'm sure they will track it down soon. Marita!, Thanks again for another wonderful visit from you. I always love your comments. The comments you left in my Atascadero album had me smiling and some had me practically rolling on the floor and peeing my pants! I just love your enthusiasm and sense of humor and wit. The element of shock in your comment about the Tarantula had me laughing so hard. I myself was so shocked the first time I came to visit my Mom here in Atascadero (she moved here about 7 years ago) in October and there were Tarantulas crawling on her screen! YIKES! They only stick around for a few weeks it seems.This last Fall I didn't even see any at Mom's so I was surprised to see that one in the fields. I actually almost stepped on it before I noticed it. To answer your question, I live pretty close to the Madonna Inn. It takes me about a 20 minute drive south to get there. Can you believe I've never been in there yet. Supposedly they have awsome cakes and steak and the men's bathroom is supposed to be a sight to see. They have a waterfall or something in there. I pass it by all the time to go to Costco and Old Navy. I got to go in soon. WOW this is getting long! Anyway, THANKS for your visit and encouragement! You are an awesome gal! ~ Jess

I'm glad you did enjoy my flamingos, I'm having s much fun every time I visit them! They are with us already for two weeks and I hope they will stay a few more days, at least! Of course, this generates a lot of animation in the river edges! Thanks God, they don't seem to be disturbed by that! I'd love to shoot them flying! But I think that is asking too much! Please, tell me, my dear friend: the sound and image quality of the videos here in Webshots is as bed for as it is for me? I'm asking this because the videos of the flamingos that I have posted here had a very reasonable quality but, when I see them here, the sound is terrible and the image stops very often! I'm saying this because, as you wanted to hear my voice I made a little album with a video, just for you!!! Sorry for not speaking in German! Maybe one of these days:)))) Please, read the description before seeing the video!:) I hope you'll be able to see it better than I do! About my new Fuji, sometimes the image quality isn't so good with the zoom, but there are always a few photos which come out better. And it really allows a nice approach for birds, etc. Of course, not for really small birds, unless they are very near. I hope you enjoy my video, my dear cowgirl:) My voice sounds a bit too loud because it tends to the sharps and is very close to the microphone:) Love and hugs to you! Now you asked about Donald Cambell They did find him just a few yeras ago now Many thought he should have been left in peace in the Lake but what remained of him is now buried in the churchyard in Coniston. Sadly Tarn House isn't for sale but you would need mega pennies if it ever was the location itself is worth a mint. It is a guest house though so you could stay there :o) As for the pub of course we had a drink before our walk and we booked a table for dinner at the same time It turned out to be one of the best meals we had that holiday too. Dear Marita, Having my album *Here Comes Santa Claus* featured was a huge surprise to me, too!! What an honor!! I think Randy was as thrilled as I was!! Thank you for all of your kind words regarding this once in a lifetime event for me. I have a wonderful mentor and good friends on Webshots that have encouraged me!! Thank you, thank you for your encouragement!! Randy and I had such a wonderful time on your RTW excursion. It was great fun and as I said at the time, it was the most fun I have ever had on New Year’s Eve!! You are the master of deception!! (I mean that in a positive way!) Where are we going next year?? Leaving Randy at Glitter Gulch was too kind!! He found some Kahlua there and had a marvelous time (it must be a guy thing... all that glitter!!) that he never made it back to New York, New York to ride the Manhattan Express at midnight!! I have heard Las Vegas referred to as an Adult Amusement Park. Through your camera lens and because of your great imagination, that is exactly what Vegas was for all of us on your RTW excursion. We didn’t even have to have a designated driver!! I protected my water source from all outside contaminants that night. So it was Firewater?? I think that I need to find where my source bottled that water!! LOL!!! ~judy

Dear Marita - you always bring a little ray of sunshine to each and every one of us. I feel privileged to be amongst your friends and it is an absolute pleasure to know you. I haven't been around much on webshots and I know I have missed out on so many great photos. We had our third hottest new years eve on record with a sweltering 41.2 degrees celcius and it was 32 degrees at midnight. New years day continues to be hot with ove 41 degrees already. They told us there'd be a cool change soon but I wish it would hurry up. It's like a sauna here in my computer room so I can't stay for long.
