Dear Mary Ann, What a colorful album of dancers! The Philippine culture is so rich so involving young students at festivals like this would only ensure that the custom and tradition would endure the test of time. You certainly are among your favorite elements of sunflowers, fresh pine scented smell and the mountain tribes. Mabuhay ka and thanks for sharing, my friend. Regards, Ding

Two parades were highlighted during the Panagbenga 2008 flower festival. The first (featured in this album) was the grand parade of street dancing where schools competed on best marching band and street dancing performance. The 2nd was the parade of floats (featured in a separate album) where different groups and commercial establishments flaunted their floats decorated with thousands of flowers. The two parades happened on different days - Feb. 23 for the street dances, and Feb 24 for the floral floats.
