Album Description:
These photos are from Tonto National Forest, and Bartlett lake area. If you have never seen a verdant desert, you'd be surprised by the variety of wildflowers that pop out in spring after a relatively wet winter.

Surprising what a wet winter can turn up in a desert. So much colour and variety in a desert setting; this must be a photographer's paradise. Haig I really enjoyed this album with its beautiful scenery, amazing colours and surprising variety. Another album of excellence; cheers from Keith.

Hi Haig. Yes, the rain makes the desert come alive and you have captured a wonderful variety of vibrant wildflowers, each with its own special beauty. Californian Poppies are always a favourite with me, and that purple gem in #12 is a beauty, also those wonderful pink bells later on. Would never have guessed it was a cactus skeleton in #1, great foreground. The desert landscape is completed by the wonderful cacti standing proud and tall to make a great album. Best wishes.. Gladys, Western Australia..

Haig, I have really enjoyed viewing this magnificent album. You went out into the desert with your camera and emerged with some masterpiece photographs that you should be very proud of. I had read on Yahoo last month that a bumper crop of wildflowers was expected this year because the conditions were so perfect. You have certainly proved that prediction. I also think it is quite interesting that I was shooting the desert in Nevada on the same day that you took these. Wonderful stuff here... Thanks! Clark

Beautiful album, Haig! It gives me hope that Spring really is coming in more than just name only. We did have a heavy snowfall on Easter Sunday, but the ground was warm enough that it didn't really stick, so the picnic table would have been clear :-) Thanks for your Easter greeting - I hope you had a great one and are going to have a wonderful spring. Hugs and warmest greetings from Missouri, Beth
