I used some of your fine shots as a backdrop for the Veterans' Day program my first graders are putting on to honor veterans in our school community.

This is a marvelous album, and very fitting that it should be honored on Memorial Day - I have been all the way through it, and memories of my times living in D.C. flooded back - esp the period of 1961-64 when I worked on Capitol Hill while attending George Washington U National Law Center - one of my childhood buddies "earned" his place on the first panel of the Viet Nam Wall - he was an "adviser" to use JFK's euphemism, and was killed in action in 1961 - as was JFK himself in 63 - Like many others, I was a witness to MLK's "I Have a Dream" speech - and that era also saw our entry into space, including Alan Shepherd's and John Glenn's historic flights. What a wonderful gift you have given all of us!!!
