Thank you for bringing me back! My husband was born and raised in NYC. We got married there and our children were born there... we were forced to move during the economic dislocations of the early 80s. Of course, no one remembers them (esp. if you LOVED Ronald Reagan) but for us, it was definitely NOT "morning in America." Your photos are lovely! As one who lived there for so long and loved it so deeply, please take my following comments as constructive suggestions. 1-There are a few too many shots of the same subject. Pick the best 2 or 3 (at MOST). Better yet, stick w/one. 2-How I WISH you had given the street (better yet, the closest intersection) of your photos!!! Your street signs are really not a substitute. Many of your locations are obviously recognizable by any longtime New Yorker. But others may well not be, especially if they've not been back for a long time (or done the tourist rounds). Cities DO change! My favorites are: a) 005 - it's a great juxtaposition of OLD and New NY b) 012 - Grand Central Station (why don't you tell people this???? I went through this EVERY DAY for years on my way to work. You caught the feel of it better than most photos I've ever seen. c) 030 - another great juxtaposition of old and new architecture. Great composition. d) 051 - this one is almost personal! For anyone who has lived in Manhattan (or for that matter anywhere in the City) the critical importance of parks, playgrounds and other types of open space (such as the NY Botanical Garden in the Bronx) in such a dense metropolis cannot ever be underestimated. Ma vedendo che c'era qualcosa di nuovo da parte tua ... ti ho trovato nella Grande Mela. Di cui sono innamorato! E le mie immagini lo raccontano. Abbiamo due modi differenti di vedere le cose ma traiamo il loro succo! Anch'io ho riprovato l'emozione di esserci stato da poco (ero lì un paio di giorni anche a gennaio, a -13 e senza alcuna "forza di scattare). Hi, Ruggiero; I was in shock when I saw your album! I work just a few blocks from some of the most beautiful places you visited like the Brooklyn Bridge, the Seaport, Wall Street, etc. How long did you stay? Your photos are breathtaking, as usual.
