  • Hi Jaques, This is a great album. I can see from this album that you like people and notwithstanding the difference of language they like you. With my best regards,

  • Wow... is this ever an INCREDIBLE album. I LOVE people photos. You obviously have a talent in getting people while they're just being themselves. I LOVE these photos. What kind of camera do you have and do you do photography for a living. These photos are good enough for the National Geographic!!!!

  • Hello Jacques, This is a splendid album. Your shots of the Chinese people are very good, apparently these are very friendly people who don't mind having their picture taken. Thanks for your visit to my albums. Your friendly words in the guestbooks are much appreciated! All the best, Tjebbe

  • Jacques, your portrait of the Chinese people are really good! I can see that they were cooperating and were willing to pose for the camera. I usually find taking pictures of humans to be too complicated and I hope to be able to take pictures like these. I understand your frustration of having to travel with a group. I always have the same feeling, that it limits my capabilities as a photographer. But sometimes it's the only way to reach so many places that otherwise you would not see at all. I can see that you found enough photo ops in spite of that. Thanks for sharing this album! Thanks also for visiting my album of Israel. Unfortunately, I cannot upload pictures to WS for almost 2 months and WS staff do not know how to solve my problem. Therefore, it may be my last album to be shared in WS. I hope that I'm wrong. Enjoy your weekend! Yair.

  • On our three weeks trip to China I took over 2,000 pictures. Being with a tour is not the best recipe for a photographer. Although we get to see a lot in a short time. You wish you could be there earlier or later for the perfect light. The most pleasent suprise was how easy it was to photograph it' s people. With a smile and a friendly gesture of the camera you get back an approving pose. Sometimes they where camera towting chinese tourists and they asked to return the favor. Now I'll be looking for my picture on the chinese Webshots. jacques
