Dear Kaethi and henri. Thank you your very nice comment . In fact my story was short and limited. If you want I will send you a longer letter telling you what happend in the border and my bad feeling there. I was held with my wife for more than an hour in the border. my wife was staying in the car , and I was questioned in the office. I was born in Israel , but my parents left Austria on 1936. My grand mother from my father side came to the Swiss border but was refused from coming in at 1940 or so.... I have postcards of here concern to here situation till the end of 1942. Then she was sent to the east of Europe," disappear" and never retturn..... My father belong to an ancient Austrian family . One of his grandfathers was a treasure worker of the Queen Maria Tereza. ( The mother of Maria Antuanet)Now you understand my feelings at the border.....If you give me youe Email, I will tell you the story in details and I will be more than happy if you translate it and send it to a Bazel newspaper, as the border was very near to Bazel. Asun

I loved the old stone walls, door knockers and ornate doors while visiting. Hope to be back again soon to some of the things I missed. Everything is so ornate, it is hard to see everything even though I was there for 2 months, it was not enough. Thanks for the kind comments on my flowers. I also seen some fantastic roses while there.

Splendid album! If the walls could just talk... what stories they could tell! Thank you, Henri & Kathi, for the lovely comments you made on two of my summer CC entries! You sure would be welcome at any food feast we have! I would love to meet each one of my webshot friends in person! That would be so wonderful! They didn't have a reunion this year due to illness in the host family that hosts the event. Have a wonderful week, dear friends! Hugs, June

Hello Heinz and Kathi, this is such a great album! I enjoyed it very much. I also find the subject very interesting. All pictures are very good taken, and I also liked the explanation that went with it very much. Since last Friday we are also back from our vacation, and I have been busy with the many pictures I have taken. Just a few days before our vacation, I bought a new camera. Therefore I have been practicing a lot to learn to use the many different features of this camera. The rattery is going all right. Finally also Joella has been accepted by the other women. Strangely enough it was Ferne that gave her a hard time, but at the end of our vacation it finally went all right. Joska and Jelle, have been accepted from the beginning without problems. They fit in very well in the group. Have a nice weekend, Love, Els

Coucou Kaeth and Heinz..I made it back her to see these wonderful stone walls and buildings. i love that there are many varities of stone. I like small river stones just to look at, all polished, but these rough stones are nice to see too. i am partial to the slate and granite i think. You have put a good number of choices here of the styles of the stone structures. Enjoyable album! hugs and love, Barbara

Dear Kaethi and Henri, thanks for sharing this interesting album. I love stones and enjoyed seeing how people used them in older times in France. Some days ago a friend of mine uploaded some pictures to my webshots from Australia, it is not working here. I have used Multiply and Flickr. Sorry. http://arlete2005.multiply.com/ / http://www.flickr.com/photos/letypqt http://www.flickr.com/photos/arlete2006 / Best wishes from Brazil. Lety
