  • Hi Bill, your photos give me a new perpective on Nth American barns. Most of what we see are wooden or metal & I certainly never saw any like these in our USA travels. Nice set of photos. Now you did view an album of mine on ericy102 & I was hoping by now to invite you to see my UK barns album...but... but Webshots in their wisdom have altered their CC system & I cannot upgrade to premium! Perhaps one day they will get their software sorted out, in meantime there are just the first 3 photos to see as 240 limit does not go far! You may as an Architect like to see the "half timbered buildings in UK" album though. Eric

  • Hello from Kentucky. Thanks Bill for all of your very nice comments on my barn photos. The barns near Lexington are really out of this world. Many of these barns cost over a million dollars to build. They truly are beautiful. Try the Lexington (The Horse Capitol of the World) area for the finest barns, and some of the most famous race horse farms in all the world. My pleasure to select you as one of my favorites. Great Album. Darrell

  • HI BILL, I enjoyed very much looking at this album of old round barns. It is great. Way to go. Thank you for your comment in my barn album. Looking for old barns has been a past time of mine for a few weeks. I had been looking just for really nice barns and didn't find an abundance around here. So I started looking for just old warn out wooden barns and have six rolls of film to get developed to put into a new album. They are just so fun to find and photograph. Hope all is well. GOD BLESS, JANE

  • Thanks for the compliments. Those pictures were made a few years ago and I scanned them into the site. Do you know if you can scan at a higher resolution. You can tell the flowers, or most of them are with digital camera at higher resolution. Thanks for the tip. Dianna

  • Bill..I agree with what "grey-mare&q uot; said about the old wooden barns as they crumble & disapear..It's truly a shame that more are not refurbished & restored for the future generations to enjoy..At least we do have photographs to shre with others..Also I like the idea of a Coffee Table Book....wonderful idea..Thanks for sharing these beautiful old barns with us..God Bless from Texas...Ken http://community.webshots.com/user/bigdaddy8x14

  • Wow, these are really interesting. Looks like you have all the makings of a great coffee table book. I've never heard about round barns (sheltered life, I guess) so thanks for the education. There was an article in the USA Today paper about the dissapearing barns of the US that you might have appreciated. It was either Dec 3rd or 4th. Kind of sad really. At least we'll have good pictures to remind us of what we've lost...
