Hi Eric, Love the old hand operated locks and the lovely old canal boats. I live along the Erie Canal and the U.S. where only bits and pieces of the orginal canal are preserved. Thanks so much for commenting on my Winter 2009 albumn. Warm Regards, Tom

A very interesting slideshow. You did a wonderful job of showing detail, decorations, celebrations, locks, boat sizes, etc. I've had an interest in both the Erie and Chenango Canals and have started albums on them, but hoping to do more with them sometime. I found the narrowness of the boats, canals, and locks fascinating. Thanks for sharing. Donna/NY

Hello Eric. Enjoyed travelling the canals with you via this marrow boat album. Very interesting I might say. I've always fancied a narrow boating holiday. Stopping at the the many pubs which line the canals, I'd had a field day photographing all the varied pub signs. Did you get any snow this week? The Midlands had a snow blizzard this Tuesday lasting a couple fo hours. I missed it as I was in London that day. On the way home, when we stopped at Warwick services, it was white over. It has since melted but it's turned very cold. Looks like winter has arrived early. Best wishes, Jayne

Hi, Well this was fun. Learning about some of your family history and that you were a mischevious young lad. Beautiful pictures showing the amazing details...the boats, the painting on all kinds of items and the rope work. Enjoyed it a lot. Take care. Louise

Hi Eric: we have just seen the first half, so far - and are really impressed by this extensive, so well documented report, by this new part of English traditions we discover. No other country would be capable of maintaining such a unique aspect of former life! Of course, as it makes also part of your family history, it motivated you particularly in all the detailed research -but be sure: we appreciate and profit from that!. So thank you so much for the immense work in preparing this unique and so well illustrated history. It would largely merit a commercial booklet!- With all good wishes: Kaethi and Henri
