Trust you to find a new way to make us look!! Love the album and though it is very difficult to name only one favourite, mine would be numer 15, in Chipping Campden, though if I could afford it, the one in Welford-on-Avon would be my choice. Funny, how could I have missed that album... Take care, till next time

Very interesting album of some wonderful homes, they all have appeal but for sheer delight I did make a choice, I also like the solictor's office pity about that one and the less said the better. Well done Jayne. Last week I was in my old home town and it has so many lovely old cottages and bigger old homes, I said to my sister-in-law I will come back and get some pictures of the houses for an album when it is warmer weather as it is an old seaport and chilly on a cold day. They wouldn't be as old as your houses Jayne but they have the character of 19th & 20th century .. Hugs, Shirley

One more unforgettable tour in your ancient country! All the houses are unique and I liked all of them but #8 is my favourite (may be). Luba

These are marvelous! I would love to go inside these homes and just wander around! So much character and charm; and I imagine a lot of history too--

Jayne: Thank you for this album. I love the look of English country homes. They're all beautiful pictures, but I think my favorite is the Cotswold cottage. It is so appealing to me. Thanks for sharing. ellie

Beautiful homes, its so hard to pick one, but I would have to say me favorite is Welford-on-Avon. Maybe its the image itself; I really like the angle and setting as if its off in the countryside by itself...

Hi, Jayne, Yet another superb group of photos, both individually and collectively! I enjoyed gazing at every one of them. As for your question: It would be a huge challenge to select just one of these lovely buildings as a favourite, because each one has distinctive characteristics while at the same time conjuring up delightful associations. I would be happy to live in any of them! Perhaps the ones in the middle range as to size were the most appealing, neither too grand to fit our informality nor too small for all of our books and other bits. Given that in reality, I couldn't afford any place in the Cotswolds, I might look to Shropshire, the West Midlands, or Staffordshire ... well, one can dream! Many thanks for assembling and sharing this tantalising group! Warm wishes, Rebecca

Oh Jayne, it's just too hard to choose. They are all gorgeous, and you have all the Antipodeans drooling now. p.s. You do get around the countryside! p.p.s Maybe I will go for the Welford-on-Avon, Warwickshire house - I am always a sucker for symmetry! Regards from Jane.

Hi Jayne, I love this album. The houses are all typically English - not like some of the modern buildings that are going up. It's hard to pick a favourite, but I think I would choose number 4, Waddesdon. The symmetry is so perfect. Thank you for your comments on my Christmas album and for your best wishes. I will be gradually adding to the album and my next album will be my trip to Nambucca Heads over Christmas. Best wishes for a bright and happy 2009. Love, Judith.

Congratulations my friend! You have finally topped me as the #1 member in the UK category and I can't be happier than to relinquish my position to you. This album is a great testament to your love for your country and your talent as a photographer. I can't pick a favorite - they are all unique, wonderful, and so British! But stay on your toes - I will have new UK albums coming in 2009 ;-) Hugs and all the best of everything, Beth

Hi Jayne! A wonderful collection of typically English houses as we love them! As you see, I have already chosen one, but I'm sure you will add others... Thanks for your congratulations! It's an old photo from oertlif, we have newer Hollies in oertlif_3... We will now prepare for Holidays in Switzerland and we ill be less on internet. Warm wishes to you! Love, Kaethi

Interesting collection of English house styles Jayne. Presume you will be adding to it over time, look forward to that there is so much variety in house styles here though perhaps some would not add to the tourist's perception of England! LOL. Many thanks for telling me about the UK members choice yesterday, I would probably have missed it as we were away visiting grandson. Eric
