  • Dear Eric, I relished your winter walks! Especially considering the temperatures at the moment ;-). Wonderful pictures of the great outdoors. Moreover I am amazed that you seem to know every plant and birdie out there!!! Wish I did, too! You have a fab' weekend, Astrid

  • Very beautiful collection, dear Eric!We had a great time watching the beauty of winter on English soil!Amazing colours! I downloaded about six photos which have a pronounced painterly character! Thanks a lot for always keeping an eye on both of our albums and leaving messages after your visits! We dearly appreciate them! Best regards, your friends in Japan...Gabriela & Yoshiyuki

  • Eric, Looks like winter here, not enough snow to talk about, but lots of frosty-looking ground wherever one looks. Downloaded two. Thanks for the tour. My best regards. ron

  • Eric, I enjoyed these winter scenes that you kindly shared with us. It seems that this winter in England brought a lot of snow and ice. I'm pleased that we do not have such in winter, even that it's nice to see in pictures... Thanks for your very kind words on my featured album earlier this week! Wishing you all the best, Yair.

  • Yesterday I got a PowerPoint Presentation about London all covered with snow!! You have a cold winter and we are still waiting for the cold weather to come and even more waiting for some rain to come. Your pictures are splendid; I like your point of view. It all looks not only frozen, but also very silent and alone with wind and nature. I love the view on the dune defenses, the pink feet, the frozen rose hips and the sheep in the mist. It was a pleasure to walk with you. Some days ago, after visiting Suresh' album about Antarctica I went back to those albums of yours. Oh yes, they ARE an inspiration and yet so different from Suresh' album. :-) Have a great day! - Galit

  • I would like to take this walk...........but because I can't I did enjoy the walk thru your eyes. It was wonderful. I love what snow and frost do to the scenery it falls upon..........it becomes majestic.

  • Hi Eric! Well I hope you didn't get frost bitten toes on your winter walks - I am so amazed what an icy cold winter Europe is experiencing! Gorgeous Album, Jack Frost and Frosty the Snowman would feel right at home - myself I am a bit spoilt by living in the tropics and suptropics too many years, anything below 20C I get the sever shivers, lol! My parents in Germany had a week or so of -20C at night, couldn't believe that and they told me the Moselle froze over, it's been ages since it's done that! Anyway, hope all is well with you! Cheers and hugs from Houston. Marita

  • Good evening Eric. I never realised you could get such great captures in Winter. This album is full of wonderful Winter scenes. As I mentioned we are forecast to get snow this comming week. It's turned bitterly cold here in the Midlands. Temps are going down to -7degrees during the night tonight. Brrr. Personally I can't wait for the weather to warm up. Enjoy your week. Jayne

  • Hello Eric! These are amazing pictures. I will come back and look at them carefully. I just wanted to let you know that I have posted the Antarctica pictures, and I have added couple of lines in album frontpage thanking you. Your pictures of your trips have been a source of inspiration. Best wishes, Suresh

  • Your winter album is beautiful! We've had a pretty cold winter also, but then we have a few days when it warms up into the 40's and 50's and that's when Bob and I run out to try to take a few photographs. We've only have a few dustings of snow, so we've been fortunate that way, but I'd rather have snow than ice--it's much prettier and doesn't seem to cause as much damage to the power lines. Have a great weekend. ~~Sharon

  • Hi Eric: thank you for this beautiful winter album. Indeed, as said below in a comment, there is less snow visible than we would expect - but the "miracle of the views" make that we literally feel the cold. Also, of course, the state of vegetation does not leave any doubt. - Hope the New Year will bring you full satisfaction, or nearby! Thank you for your kind wishes of Jan. 3! Kaethi and Henri

  • Glad to see you have been getting out & about Eric. The frost makes the most mundane objects look so beautiful. How unusual to see snow on the beach! A lovely winter album. Happy New Year...Angela
