he,he...you just kill me, cheese country cowpoke pardner!!! Where DO you get it??? Dutch folks aren't exactly known for being commedians, are they?? Well I guess neither are Germans..So Vegas Baby???? That'll beat it all I tell you... I LOVE Vegas, and if you time your visit right you can save beaucoup bucks on your room! They've had some FANTASTIC Deals this winter, and usually in June/July/August (because it's so hot you can fry eggs on the sidewalk), October is one of the worst months, lots of conventions (although with this economy that may be much less this year. Tell Speedy it's o.k. I don't like to fly either (would rather go to the dentist), and there's no good gras in Las Vegas or Arizona/Nevada for that matter...And yeah I am so proud of our new Prez - I've been an avid supporter of the "Free Santa and Mrs. Claus" campaign...Peace man :D!!P.s And believe me you DON'T want Ike doing your garden, he messed up mine so bad, (5 years of hard work)...still getting casualties weekly...And don't worry we'll be talking about his wretched birthday for decades to come (September 13, 2008), I don't like birthdays any more :D...And the bald eagle...named by some jealous midlife-crisis scientist..don't we all wish we had a beautiful bald head like that bird??? (beats what I have to look at in the mirror each morning, YIKES!!!)....And of course I am such a romantic cowgal..romance is my middle name...I told my husband on the phone today (he's in Singapore) if he ever sends me a bunch of such expensive roses again and fattening candy, I'll kill him :D)...Now you know why we've been married 28 years or so..romance :D...Happy Valentine's day, li'l dutch boy! :D..Marita

Aaaa...rriiiibbbbaaaa.... It's THAT time of year again, li'l dutch boy!!! I look forward to this all year, and I am sure so do you! So where will Tjebbe and Speedy be off to next (or will it be a seperate vacation again, due to lack of green grass???). Tjebbe, that's a very beautiful album with so many potential destinations. So hard to decide where to go next... I noticed that Israel is not represented there, I guess we're not a popular destination for a holiday in Holland? Maybe next year. Hello Tjebbe, I have enjoyed my world travels here. The exhibition seems very interesting. Have you decided where you will be travelling next? Thanks for sharing these images. Thank you also for your recent visit to "When Winter is Winter". We have had a most unusual winter - cold for Vancouver, and a lot of snow. We occasionally do have snow, but it usually melts after a week or two. However, we still have some snow in our back yard - it has been there since mid-December! I will not be sad when it has melted.
