Album Description:

One of my favourite spots ever! Originally built in 1889, the bridge stretches 450 feet (137m) across and 230 feet (70m) above Capilano River. The park is twenty-seven acres.

  • So, you did come here visiting my neighboring country, I see. Very nice album, I felt the nature itself as I went through this album; thanks so much for sharing it :) Regards, Farshad

  • Hi Joy. Thanks for sharing these. I grew up in the neighbourhood of Capilano Suspension Bridge and as kids we used to actually swim in the "salmon pools" just upstream a kilometre or two. (We also used to sneak in to the suspension bridge from the opposite side of the river hehe). I still visit Capilano Regional Park several tiomes a year; however my favourite is Lynn Canyon on the other side of North Van. It's free, not as long and doesn't have the peripheral tourist attractions, but a very spectacular canyon! If you haven't visited there definitely put it on your "must see" list for your next visit.
