well the black background does enhance the subject,,i feel.with a uniform background the focus of the viewer goes only on the subject.and only because of that reason with your wonderful photography of most lovely flowers makes these pictures enchanting.great job done......ash :)

While I loved the clarity of your photos, and the black background, personally I find the flowers somewhat 'dismembered', sitting, as they do, mostly with no stalks and leaves. I still enjoyed the album though!

Hi Keith! You are always experimenting and this is yet another great way to enhance these beautiful flowers. A black background suits most flowers and eliminates any background distractions so that the viewer's attention is centred solely on the flower. I especially liked #32 & #36 where the background was not such a solid black which I feel can be just a bit too stark at times, such as in #7.
