  • Anguillara Sabazia (Region of Lazio) is a small town located in the countryside of Rome, around 30 km northwest of the city. It nestles on a small cape on the coast of the Bracciano Lake; its medieval center and its beach make it a popular destination for tourists. Three kilometres east of the town lies the small, volcanic lake of Martignano, also popular with tourists. The two lakes and the surrounding area have been declared as Regional Park and are under a strict naturalistic control. Lake Bracciano is of volcanic origin in the Italian region of Lazio, 32 km northwest of Rome. With a surface of 56.76 km² it is the second largest lake in the region (second only to Lake Bolsena) and one of the major lakes of Italy. It has a circular perimeter of approximately 32 km; its surface is 160 meters above sea level and its deepest point is 165 m. Three towns border the lake, Bracciano, Anguillara Sabazia and Trevignano Romano (See my other albums of these towns).
