Album Description:
Bombs fell as rain on that small island in 1942 (to defend) & in 1945 (to recapture). Blood flowed freely, but so did honor & courage. It forged tighter friendships & spawned new ones. That's the greater victory Corregidor brought. I celebrate that here!

Mary Ann. This remarkable exhibit here will take me several visits to soak up [properly]! Between the history you provide, along with [your] exhibit of scenery and historical artifacts ..., I am TOO impressed and appreciative of such an effort you have put forth ! Just a pleasure to see someone have such a [conscientious] attitude about creating a VERY 'quality' exhibit ! Sincerely, Gary

It is a treat that you created this album of Corregidor. I had no idea that this strategic island played a major part of our history from the Spanish era to the end of WW II. Your presentation is highly informative and the composition of your pictures is superb and very artsy. Thanks Mary Ann for sharing this beautiful and dramatic album of Corregidor, the island that protects the entry to Manila Bay.

With bombs constantly falling as rain on that small island during that short span in 1942 (to defend it) and in 1945 (to recapture it), men must be made of strong stuff, or else must nurture or coax what little courage they have in them - to blossom overnight. Many, both friendly and opposing forces, did. Blood flowed freely those days, but so did honor and courage. And because of that, it forged tighter friendships, and spawned new ones. That is the greater victory Corregidor brought which this album now celebrates!
