What an interesting album - you did superb work putting the album together. Your photos are excellent - your portrait work beautiful. Petra is filled with history and mystery - your photos made me all the more curious about the place. I suppose there were tourists from all over the world. So glad your dream trip was fulfilled - now you need to choose a new dream trip - for next time. - Best regards, DeeAnne :)

Galit, T'is nice to see you again. Thanking you for your visit through my featured album, your nice comments, but now having trouble keeping up with the 'thank you' notes. Your album here of Petra in Jordan is way beyond beautiful-had no idea there was so much history involved, which you handled quite well. Easy to follow along and couldn't stop until the end of your trek. Yes, saw the few trees standing here and there and also the 4,500 year old. Super!! Thanks again for your visit. My best regards to you and your family. ron

Dear Galit....we too thank you for being with us on this incredible visit to spectacular Petra. IMHO- the weather co-operated with us. Overcast and low temperatures worked to our advantage. You photos shows amazing geology, incredible stone carving and beautiful color definition. Thank you for your beautiful commentaries left under Alaska Highlights album. My Israel and Jordan photos - I will work on editing during the summer. Again - thank you Galit fro shairng this beautiful album. Have a great summer ....Warm and kind regards, Maria and Rafal. Today I worked on posting more Alaskan albums which are ready for viewing ( and more from there) Sawyer Glacier http://travel.webshots.com/album/573283960WdtOCC

Oh Galit, What a magical place ! The rocks are wonderful, such gorgeous colours, especially the pink (silk) tomb. I can't imagine the labour involved in excavating the 'facades' like the treasury. Stunning. The Sic I found a bit intimidating with it's walls closing in overhead. but no less beautiful for all that. No wonder you were late for the coach ! It must have been agony to have to drag yourself away from these wonderful sights, to go back to the 'real world' And weren't the people lovely ? I thought the embroidered dresses of the women very special, and the young girls were beautiful. Did you buy any beads? SO glad you were able to fulfil your dream, and with such friendly company. That's is how Webshots seems to me, a BIG family of friends....I send you love and hugs, and thanks for sharing all this grandure with us, Sheila.

Petra is one of my must-see destinations. Some times, I feel I have missed out on seeing Petra for a long time. There are not many monuments in the world which compare with Petra for their ability to spring a surprise on the visitor when one approaches the end of the siq. With your outstanding pictures you have once again reminded me that I must visit Petra. Galit, thanks for all the three albums which I enjoyed very much. Cheers, Suresh

Hi Galit! Thoroughly enjoyed this exceptional album and appreciate all the work you put into its preparation. Great photos of the changing colours of the sandstone as you walk along the Siq with those stone walls towering above, then it must have been an unforgettable moment when you got your first glimpse of The Treasury! An absolutely amazing achievement to carve that with such precision. Great colourings in the Silk Tombe and wonderful views after climbing all those steps, especially where you said to 'follow Rafal', the view down the valley is awesome! So much added interest in the beads, souvenirs, people, camels and donkeys, all of which complete your magical experience in Petra. I am not surprised that you needed a donkey to carry you home. Thankyou for sharing this wonderful visit to Petra and I know you have many happy memories to treasure. Best wishes.. Gladys, Western Australia... www.gladysclancy.com

Ganz liebe Gruesse Deine Waltraud
