Album Description:
Had mixed feelings - yes, Palace raised the lowly coconut to a grand level, but former residents lived lavish lifestyles at the expense of poor Filipinos. Paintings of humble farmers are incongruous to Marcos' rich, repressive rule. Glad that's all over!

Mary Ann, Quite a history here and if it wasn't for your pictures, this place would go unannounced. You've quite an eye for the beauty of the day, young lady. Thank you Mary Ann to show us something so beautiful and at the same time so unequal with the poverty of many Filipino. Nevertheless, now it is the beauty open to the view of all the Filipino and that is part of their personal wealth and of their pride like people. However to my it always moves me more the face of a boy smiling or the serene beauty of simple people in their daily tasks.
