Album Description:

Spent many hours over 3 days at the South Rim. First captured images in afternoon light, then morning light. The canyon vistas are truly spectacular regardless of ambient light.

    • Thanks, irmischmider. You're so right about huge. As you know, the road along the South Rim is 25 miles. Three days allowed us to pick our exposure times.

    • I like your morning and afternoon shots - but unfortunately Grand Canyon is such a huge area that's impossible to be at every place at the right time. You are lucky spending so much time at that place. I only had 2 days this February.

    • Have to admit timing is everything shooting the Grand Canyon. Naturally the best exposures were early and late in the day when the cliff faces were fired up. Anytime in between is relatively blah.

    • Guess I will have to go back to the Grand Canyon. When I was thare the lighting was so bad that I saw nothing like this. I had been in Sedona and it was wonderful.
