Album Description:
This monument has 2 sides - east & west. Since I came in the morning, I took photos only of the east side which shows the early colonization of Cebu/Philippines. The west side depicts the spread of Roman Catholicism in Cebu/Philippines.

Kudos to Eduardo Castrillo and most of all to the artist friend of mine Mary Ann! The different angles show the story of the Spanish colonizationand the revolt that led to independence some 330 years later. What a lesson in history you have here. The result:85% of the Filipinos are Roman Catholics, some 5% are of Christian denominations and another 5% are others. That is just my approximation. I like the composition and use of existing light covered by the deep blue skies of hope! Bravo, Mary Ann!
