Album Description:
As a grade school kid, I've known this bird of prey as the Philippine Monkey-eating Eagle. Then many years later, our government had it changed to the Philippine Eagle, & ascribed it as our national bird. Eagles kept here have names, ex. "Dakila".

Hello Mary Ann, it is hard to choose between all albums on the Philippines that you show. As I have spend some time making a game with all kind of Philippine birds, I was curious to see more of the National bird. They look cute but must be scaring too. This is a beautiful surrounding to learn about it. Thank you for sharing. regards from Holland

I would probably spen considerable time here if I lived near by. I never thought to tell you that my Leopard Hatana is from the Philippians. She is an Asian Leopard.

Dear Mary Ann, this is really a treat to see the most famous eagle of all, the Philippines Eagle. I remember the Philippine Eagle to be taught in grade school as the Monkey eating eagle. You're blessed to see them up close. God bless, Ding.
