Album Description:
After a work trip in Cagayan de Oro City (CDO) in Aug 2011, I side-tripped to Camiguin - thanks to a brother of my workmate. He drove his pick-up truck all the way from CDO to Balingoan, onto a ferry, around Camiguin, & back - in 2 amazing days!

Your quake experience must be much like living in California. We have many quakes every day.

My Unsettling Experience in Camiguin: While I was resting at the bottom of Mt Vulcan (where the first Station of the Cross is located), I felt an earthquake movement, however minimal. I told the sari-sari store owner, whose store I rested in, about the slight tremor I experienced. She simply said it's a common phenomenon, and that I shouldn't worry. Apparently, that happens quite frequently in Camiguin! It's pretty unsettling yet quite amazing what these folks have to deal with on a daily basis! How well-adapted these folks and how resilient they have become! But I wonder ... just at what earthquake magnitude these folks become worried & start to leave ???

Oh what a delight it is to walk through your album. your work typifies a national geographic format, complete with documentaries. You know where you beat them ? Local knowledge and the due diligence you place in your work! Your pictures are magnificent and the notes are priceless. We are blessed to have you show the whole world the unbeaten path of remote places that we would otherwise not see. For that I thank you my dearest friend!
