Album Description:
Ilocos Norte province has 2 sets of edifices with disparate ages: the lighthouse is 120 years old, while the windmills are fairly new (2005). Yet both harness nature's energy: solar power beacon to guide ships, & wind power for the province's electricity

Interesting that they are installing windmills. We do it also and I don't believe they will ever be anything more than supplemental power.

Hi Mary Ann, what a highly informative album this is. I have to check how old the San Diego lighthouse is. The current Point Loma Cabrillo lighthouse was replaced in 1891.That makes it about the same age as the Cape Bojeador lighthouse. I envy the blue skies lined by drammatic nimbus clouds. It is still kind of grey here but I see the blue hue peaking through once in a while. Thanks for this post and for sharing it. You are well travelled, my dear friend!
