Album Description:
These days people visit Mines View Park to purchase handicraft, souvenirs, knitwear, woodcarvings, silver jewelry & garden plants. But very few folks bother or care to know of its mining past or its huge contribution to Baguio's growth.

Dave, in the early 1900s the Americans started the mining industry in Baguio & nearby mountains. Gold, silver, copper, pyrite and limestone were mined.

Thanks for sharing this album of Mines View Park that is one of the most visited sites in Baguio. I remember posing with an Igorot warrior when May was young. I also remember buying some everlasting flowers that seem to last forever! You are blessed for having visited this favorite city of mine: Baguio. I wonder when I will get a chance to see it? Ah,I hope sooner than later. If not, I'll keep visiting your albums and that makes me feel as if I was there. God bless you, Mary Ann. Ding
