Hi Art...Wonderful "revisit" to this awesome album..I downloaded #9 "Columbia River from Crowne Point"..you were blessed with this capture as I stood in almost the very same place in Aug 2000' but my images lacked one thing which you have in yours...those awesome clouds as they always enhance any photograph or painting..the sky way clear the day I was there so I didn't get the same results which you did...Thanks for sharing these awesome images with me again...God's Blessings from Texas...Ken

Hi Art! A very beautiful album!!! Great compositions and colours.. To be honest are these photos a lot better than your portraits so far. But as you are a good photographer; you will probably make very good portraits in the very near future... Thanks for dropping by in my dahlias! It was great fun to take them... Greetings Anna

So I am a little biased as I was brought up in the Pacific Northwest! Your shots captured the true beauty of the scenery there. Thanks for sharing a wonderful album and made me a little homesick.

Hi Art, Thanks for the comments on my "Canada Geese In Flight" album. To answer your question, I now use a Canon 10D digital SLR. Most of my pistures in that album were made with my Canon D60 digital SLR. The lenses that I used for these pictures were either my Canon EF300mm 4.0 L IS lens, or my Canon EF70-200mm L 4.0 lens. I try to get the highest shutter speed that I can. I shoot at 400 ISO a lot of times to increase my shutter speed. ISO noise is not a problem. I shoot wide open a lot of times at 4.0, but I have good results at 5.6 and above. By the way, you have some beautiful photos in your albums. I especially like the lighthouses. Bill from Alabama

Hello Art, Thanks for your message in my guestbook; I don’t know what to say! A tribute like that from you is indeed a great honour. I am only a learner when it comes to Digital Photography; up to two years ago all my photos were on film. In my quiet way I am experimenting both with the camera and with the techniques and I hope one day to be even half as good as you are. I have only had the chance to look at two of your albums but will make the time to look at them all, as what I have seen so far are quite superb. You asked for favourites, well...? I think of the ones I have seen it has to be the one that I downloaded, ‘Early evening in Portland.’ The lighting and reflections are quite magnificent! The other album I looked at is ‘In the Garden’ The first picture you say you don’t know what it is.... I may be able to help. It is not easy to tell from just the flower head but it looks like a Bluebell, a wildflower that we get lots of here in the woodland areas, and indeed in my garden. It is certainly of the same family; if not a Bluebell then in all probability it will be a Harebell. Thanks once again, and feel free to drop by any time. Meg from England.

I downloaded Portland at Night. My brother lives there. My parents and brothers live in Oregon, but if I have guessed correctly, I live north of you in Omaha, Nebraska. Was surprised to see a Missouri person willing to carve some Nebraska helmets in glass right next to Missouri's paw prints. (These were of course in your other album.) I also downloaded your picture of Kansas City.
