Lovely flowers, strange and excotic, too. It was a pleasure to view them, Merike

What lovely pictures, Waltraud! P.s Just added my Aussie Mate (animal) album I would enjoy having you visit! Marita

Beautiful album Waltraud! What a great idea to showcase the plants and flowers of NZ and I love the Kea added in - they are amazing birds! Thankyou for your comments in my guestbook but I politely disagree - if you look at the leaves and the seed pods you will definately recognise it as a flowering gum. As to the rata over pohutakawa - yes we do grow pohutakawa down here (obviously not a prolific as the NI) and rata is a vine so looks somewhat different in it's trunk as it is multilayered (after outgrowing the host tree) :) Best wishes, Kate

Oh, so nice to see the pictures of the trees. I can not remeber the names from my teen years, so it is nice to see the name also. The pictures are great. Love them.
