  • Hi Danielle and I was just browsing your albums and was going to tell you about the collapsed Apostle but Yvonne beat me to it. Seems a 15 year old schoolboy took a photo at 8.15am and another one at 8.16am. One showed the Apostle and the other showed a pile of rubble. In fact there never were 12 of them - just 9, now we are down to 8 and they reckon that in a couple of thousand years we'll be down to 6!!! Strange the way things happen - back in 1987 we took a photo of London Bridge further round the Great Ocean Road - a few weeks later the first arch collapsed (leaving a couple of tourists stranded - they were rescued by helicopter some 5 hours later) Some of those shots are in my Victoria album.   • just toi let you know Danielle that the foremost of the apostles made headlines this week by collapsing . Some tourists were actually looking at it when it just dissolved so theres history for you..Now there are 8 of the 12 left. Red Rock is only about 20 ks from my childhood home so those photos really brought back memories..Thanks for sharing..love em all. Yvonne from oz..

  • Actually would you beleive that i made it to the Twelve Apostiles for the first time last wednesday. Ive only been living in Victoria since 1967. Sometimes you have to stop tearing around and travel closer to home. I've vowed to save the green house layer by never flying again, besided there's heaps to see around here and I havn't seen most of it yet!

  • Exquisite shots of a very scenic spot. The carved coast and rocks are proof that Nature wed to Time make it for the most creative force! I think that you may forget where you are when visiting such a spot and then, coming back to 21st century civilization, you might suffer a shock! I enjoyed your album! Greetings from Japan, Tanaka

  • I have just done this trip myself and loved every minute of it. I think The Great Ocean Road is fabulous, apart from the scenery, the people we met also added to a wonderful holiday.
