Springtime in Yosemite - Featured 11-9-05

After awhile you get tired of seeing the same old Yosemite shots, then there comes along someone like you who just knocks everyone else out of the water. Hey Lynn, I stumbled upon one of your pictures by accident while searching for a picture of angel falls. I liked your picture so much that I decided to see what else you had. Your pictures of Yosemite are - bar none - the best I've seen. I don't know how many of them I've downloaded this morning. Now I have to decide which of those beautiful shots to use as my desktop background. I was so impressed with your photos, that, not only did I add you to my favorites list, I sent off an e-mail to my mom to let her know what a fantastic series of pictures I found. [By the way, here's a little tip I like to share with people when downloading pictures from the Community section. The webshots software automatically reduces any downloaded pictures from the Community section to 800 x 600 resolution, so if you have your screen setting set to a higher resolution all those beautiful, high quality pictures you download look fuzzy and out of focus. To get around this, click on "view image full size" then right click and click "Save picture as" to save it to your computer. Then you can export it into webshots through webshots photo manager. Another reason I like letting people know this is because when I use this method, as I did on your pictures, it probably won't show up in your stats on how many pictures have been downloaded. At least this way you know that more people are enjoying your pictures than what your weekly stats will show.] I agree with someone else who thinks you should be featured. To my astonishment, my Japanese Gardens album was featured several months ago, which greatly increased the number of views and downloads I had. Hi again Lynn, sorry I missed this album when it was featured (away cruising Greek Is & Italy)but the feature today enabled me to find it. Always like to view Yosemite albums & this is a classic, we had a fantastic brief visit through & over Tioga in sept 03. Tried in early june to get over Tioga again from the 395, to see it in spring, but still closed with snow so missed out. Hope your move to Colorado has gone well, that is another of our favorite places after out tour in sept/oct 04. Hope to get that way again sometime but wife is now averse to long distance flying. Eric
