  • Made was fantastic, he would pick us up in the AM every morning, took me to all the good picture spots, spoke great english, knew all the good places to eat, avoided the tourist traps, I can't say enough about him, think his last name was Awas or something. We went 3 months after the bombings and Bali was dead! 10% occupancy in the hotels, nobody in the restaurants, 90% of the people live from tourism there and there were no tourists. I loved the people and felt so bad for them! Then came SARS, another blow, so they've had a tough few years. Take care, Marita

  • Shirley, Bali is such an amazing place! We only had 3 days and it rained for 2, but still it was one of the most memorable vacations I ever had. I had just gotten my first (and so far only) digital and the photos weren't too great. Were you joking about having had the same driver, Made? Thanks so much for all your sweet comments!
