I really eenjoyed your pictures of the Jersey shore. I first went to Ocean City, New Jersey when I was 11. I have lived in Maryland all my life; but when I think of "the Ocean," I think of New Jersey.

I spent every summer in Island Beach State Park when I was a teenager, 35 years ago. I romanced lifeguards, nearly drowned once, and loved the sand dunes. I have never loved a beach the same way since. It is 17 miles (?) of the most beautiful sand dunes and silence I have ever known. Try visiting during the winter on a sunny day. The sky is the most gorgeous blue and the dunes look like snow. There is nothing but crashing waves and endless crying birds. I fell in love with my first love there.
