Our paths have crossed many times in the gold country. My last visit to this area was about 20 years ago. You indeed did very well covering all this in 21/2 days. When I was last there we did Mercer Caverns and Moaning Cave and another cave that I don't recall the name. One could spend a lifetime in the area and never cover all that is there!

I'm very disappointed with this album! Your comment with the Angels Camp sign, along with ignoring San Andreas, Angels Camp, and Murpheys because it's 'built up' in the last 30 years shows an ignorance of where the "Mother Lode" had it's origins. I grew up in Angels Camp and left in '75. Jobs were scarce then. Now they're thriving communities, still rich in the heritage the Forefathers, and Mark Twain, gave us. I suggest less pictures of motels and areas off the beaten path and more of the historical areas you so blatently ignored. You obviously spent no time with locals, being directed to places such as the small cabin Mark Twain lived in when Angels Camp was a mining town. We had a gold mine on our 40-acre ranch just outside of town! The charm and history is thriving for those willing to dig a little, and take pictures worth displaying in Webshots. Your album is a blatement embarrasement on your behalf. Next time do the homework.
