I'd love to see this place once again in my lifetime! Fat chance, so I'll just admire your album again. I remember looking at Viewmaster reels of this lake when I was a kid and wondering how anything could be so blue. Thanks for the messages in my g/b's. The squirrel was a girl that was at the bird feeder and I think Bob calls them all "squirrely!" Bob finally won the war temporarily with another baffle. The butterflies at the butterfly house take time to rest and I sneak up and take a shot! :-) It's just a matter of spending enough time in there. Hope you have been having a good day! It's still cold and tacky here. Maybe spring will get here some day! Hugs and love, Sharon

Hi Jane, VERY nice album. I'm finally getting back to posting more pics. Carol and I will be at Crater Lake, and Medford in August with Friends from Italy. Should be fun. I recently bought a Canon EOS 5D DSLR, wow way fun, very complex though. I'm getting used to it though. Keep up the good work on the albums. We'll be in Vermont in October again. We'll see how that goes. 3rd times the charm. Take care. randy

It's so impressive the interesting scenes you are able to figure out - and the interesting weather and-or lighting situations you magically seem to find. By chance do you use a helicopter to transport you around to catch such special scenes ? (JK !). Wonderful camera work you sure do ! Sincerely, Seattle

Hi Jane! How was Crater Lake today? Did you get to see lots of snow--white and blue! What a fascinating color combination that would be. You're one lucky duck to live so close to Crater Lake. Not fair! :-)) Lots of hugs and love, Sharon

Jane: This is a beautiful album on one of the Most Beautiful places in the northwest. I have visited it many times over the years in pre-digital times but haven't seen it since I went digital. When I go I will take a lot of pictures, none of which will surpass yours here. Thanks for the reminder!! Jim in Hurricane, UT and Longview, WA

Jane ~ This is a wonderful album! Your photos are sharp & clear. I haven't been to Crater Lake since 1990 & it's still as beautiful as ever. The yellow stuff on the water may be sulfer, since the water in the lake is heated from an active volcano. Thank you for sharing! ~ Cindy *:o)

Jane, this album is truly wonderful. I echo all the praise the others have given you. These are every bit as good as the daily Webshots photos. Such an amazing place, and such lovely clear, well-framed photos. I love them all, but especially the moonlight pictures and the "natives" - they're really cute! As a geologist by training (long ago) I also find the shots of Pumice Castle and its surroundings fascinating. Thank you for sharing these superb photos. Best wishes from Sue in South Wales.

Hello Jane again! You have so many new additions that we haven't seen, one nicer than the other! Thanks for these awesome, outstanding Crater Lake Pictures! You captured spectacular views! We like the early morning pictures with the special mood over the silver water. The lake pictures with clouds as in 52 and 54 remind us the beautiful paintings from our Swiss painter Ferdinand Hodler! We also love the blue flowers (it's only in the USA that we found this kind of flowers) and the cute squirrel, the deer etc... We had a wonderful slideshow! With big hugs, Henri and Käthi

Hi Jane! I love your new additions to the Crater Lake album. The wildflowers are so beautiful and I loved the zoom of Phantom Ship and your Pumice Castle shots! Also the photos with the snow are so beautiful--it's hard to imagine that there is still snow up there when you've been having such hot temps down in the valley!!! It was also so very interesting to see how the lake looks totally different real early in the mornng. Great shots!!! Hi Jane! Quite a crowd here, and as usual, I'm the last to find out! Great panorama shot, and I like the close-up of Pumice Castle. I was at Crater Lake just before Thansgiving last year, and the snow had just begun to blanket the area in earnest. A few of the shots I took are in my Roadtrip! album if you want to see. Jon.

Hi Jane! Your Crater Lake album is beautiful. Such clear pictures! I love #15, so simple and yet so captivating. You can see each single wave wrinkling the water surface. And the blue! So amazingly like the Greek Aegean blue, on the other side of the globe. It makes a gorgeous desktop background. Thank you for allowing me to print your fractals. I'm sure you will find a lot more fans among my Christmas guests. I am looking forward to a new album of yours. Love, Ersi.

Ditto, Jane, to all the wonderful messages you have received on your Crater Lake album. I can never get enough of viewing photos of that beautiful national park. You have certainly done it justice with your photos. Now if you and Rod had just taken the boat ride, Bob and I would know what we missed when we were there. :-))) Lots of hugs and dreams of blue water!!! Sharon

Hi Jane-thanks for all your comments. In reply to your questions. 1) The owner of the mansion turned it into a B&B and makes up his own mysteries about local history for weekend residents--they are great too! Only one outhouse in all those photos, and it is on my property in MI. It was featured (not my pic) in an outhouse photo book a while back. Coming here for a visit brings back many memories for me. I lived in S. WA for 2 years and fell in love with the area; sure wish I could get back. But your albums are at least giving me a vicarious trip back. I will be back. Mike

Thank you for the nice comments on my cars Jane. You really do have some outstanding pictures in your albums. Being reasonably close in British Columbia, we have been in your area numerous times, it really is a beautiful place to visit. Just bought a good digital so hope to start adding some outdoor scenes around our area to my album collection. If they turn out half as good as yours I'll be happy. Thanks a lot for sharing them, take care. Tom

Oh,Wow,Jane! You really outdid yourself on this one! So clear and sparkling are the colors. "Pumice Castle" and "Sunlight dancing on the waves" are both outstanding. I think each one of these shots could easily be a postcard somewhere! Your flair for framing a shot "just right" really shows up here! Have a great day! Jenny

Good Morning Jane! I had to admire Crater Lake before breakfast. My favorites are #3, Sunlight dancing on waves; #15, Wizard Island; and #24, Phantom Ship waiting for sun. I can see how windy it was up there because of the ripples in the water. It must be pretty difficult for the wind to blow that lake around because it is surrounded by mountains, so I guess it you got chilled up there I can understand why!!!! :-))) You have done a beautiful job and it makes me want to see that place again! Hope you have a great weekend. Hugs! Sharon
