The outlook from the town of Semur en Auxois is one which surveys a bend in the river Armacon, and adds to the picturesque setting. The castle, with its round towers blends in beautifully with the roofs of the houses with the mottled tiles. The Gothic church with its Burgundian snails carved on the facade completes the ambiance of the town.
