As part of the Schutzenfest tradition, every existing king is escorted into town for a final celebration send-off (another similar escort/celebration for the new years king occurs a couple days later). All the towns men march 3 across dressed in black shoes, white pants, black belt, white button shirt, green hat with the blue and white color band, and carry wooden rifles to escort the king by horse drawn carriage to the Schutzenhall.
