Another key part of the Schutzenfest every other year is the Schnade. Schnade is basically a 15 - 20 mile walk through the woods surrounding Brilon to insure the territory stones are still in place.(big story behind this that I will attempt to better cover on my web page). Part of the preperation is consuming the first beer of the day....this one after ending the previous celebration earlier in the morning....blahhh
