Once we departed Tahoe, we learned the the temperature was 4 degrees F(with wind chill factor) with an evening low of approx. -4 degrees F(yes, 4 below zero, no windchill factor this time). Not being used to these temperatures, we quickly learned that wiper fluid and various other mechanisms freeze solid on the car. This pic taken after the harsh road sand and ice had gone and we were back in our SF Bay area home in +60 degree F weather...time for a wash!
