Album Info:

After the coronation oath comes the anointing by the Archbishop of Canterbury on the Sovereign's hands, breast and head, using the ampulla and spoon. The ampulla (dated 1661) is a golden eagle flask which holds the holy oil used in the anointing, while the spoon is the oldest piece in the regalia, probably made for Henry II or Richard I.
