At one time Diego had been a copra producing plantation run by a German operation. This was the plantation home. The plantation also had it's own jail and mini-railroad. In '79, the plantation served as a party house, when the guys wanted to get away from the camp area, they'd head to the plantation and party, complete with a beer guzzling local donkey.
