Once the fertile toplayer of the ground has vanished after burning the grasses at the end of the season there is very little hope of recovery as it takes from 100 untill 400 years before that layer has been rebuilt by the trees. Also, the rain sweeps the minerals away during the rainy season (starting at the end of November).
